Photography and Quotes: Travel Inspiration

A few weeks ago, I was asked if I’d like to be involved in a blog challenge to pair seven of my favorite photos with a coordinating quote. There was no specific theme we were required to follow, but this being a travel blog, I tried my best to choose mostly photos and quotes related to my little globe-trotting hobby. Travel inspiration quotes are always my favorites, anyway.

Of course, I couldn’t even stick to my own self-imposed rule and a couple of my favorite non-travel related quotes sneaked in anyway. (We’ll call those the life inspiration quotes!) If you’d like to see photos from the others who participated, head on over to Adventures Of A London Kiwi and check ’em out!

Hi Sarah! I love all of your pictures and quotes – can’t decide on one. The one that touches me the most, is the picture of the moon, I just realized this summer when talking to someone who visited South America, that they see the moon differently there. Now I hope to see it myself some day!

Oh, Sarah these are all so lovely! I love the first and second quotes. The Ryu Murakami quote is so true–it’s amazing how different sunsets are in every place you visit. And the last photo of you and Lexie is just perfect. Made me smile ;)

These are fantastic! And such a great idea. I’d never come across this concept before. I’ve heard the Edmund de Waal quote a million times before but it catches my attention every time I see it. So true! Thanks for sharing :)

I love these! I love the fonts you’ve used and the quotes themselves. I think I like Eleanor Roosevelt’s quote the most. Did you use PicMonkey to edit the text?

That is one of my most favorites, too. I think I’ve used it elsewhere on my blog before on another photo, but I can’t remember where. I did use Picmonkey to put the text on these. I find it so much easier to edit photos in PSE and then take them over to Picmonkey for text. Adding text in my version of PSE is not the easiest thing to do!

Great! I saw that you recommended PicMonkey to another blogger, I think I’ll play around with it.
